Surprise Engagement
Hi everyone!
Let's all give it up for one of the cutest couples I’ve seen: Gage and Logan Morey.
Gage contacted me to ask if I could assist him with capturing a very special moment. He was planning on asking his girlfriend to marry him and we wanted to do it before a Woodford Reserve Distillery tour. The grounds are beautiful, so I was confident that we could grab some great pictures. We made a plan that I would plant myself in front of the building and pretend to be taking some pictures of the grounds as they arrived with their group of family/friends. He would casually stroll by and land in the place we chose together (for the optimal backdrop).
I arrived early and began scoping the area for some “after proposal” backgrounds for some candid and posed shots. Then, it started to rain! The clouds above looked a bit gloomy, too. After finding some places indoors as a backup plan, I got the text, “We’re here.” I stepped outside and noticed the rain had mostly let up. It was pretty wet and gross outside, but at least there was no heavy rain.
I assumed the position and they hit their spot. Gage turned to Logan and hit one knee!
Of course, she said Y-E-S!
After this beautiful moment, I introduced myself and we spent about 30 more minutes capturing engagement photos. Here’s a preview of a few of them:
